Black market sessions present “nonvirtual shareware copies” of cultural works for discussion. Each session host provides an introduction and context for the featured work(s) and donates a copy to the colourschool collection library for further viewing, study, and discussion.

Host Biographies
A California-native, Jeff Khonsary moved to Vancouver from the Bay Area in 2002 to pursue a MA degree in Art History and Theory at the University of British Columbia. Since graduation, Jeff has worked as a writer, curator, and designer. In 2005 he co-curated Humble Beginnings, a group exhibition held at the Belkin Satellite, Vancouver. He is also a founding editor and art director of The Fillip Review, a Vancouver-based art magazine focusing on international contemporary art production and criticism. In 2005 and 2006 Jeff served as co-production designer for Jamie Travis’ The Patterns Trilogy, a short film series which has played extensively at international film festivals and screenings.
